Thomas W. Judson received his Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Oregon. He has held positions in the mathematics departments at the University of Portland, the University of Puget Sound, Harvard University, and Stephen F. Austin State University. He is the recipient of several grants from the National Science Foundation (DUE-1020957, #DUE–1625223, and #DUE–1821329) to develop and study open source textbooks.
Recently retired from Stephen F. Austin State University, the author divides his time between the French Pyrénées and Colorado, where he enjoys cycling and skiing. He continues to work on projects related to open source textbooks.
